rates

My rate for unit stills work follows the industry standards for commercial or high-budget productions. Please call to discuss a specialised quote.

For other types of work such as events, portraiture or actor headshots, the following are my guideline rates but please get in touch for a personal quote tailored to your specific needs:

portraits & headshots

A basic headshot session on location lasts around 90 minutes and starts at £150, which includes all untouched images and up to 6 basic processed images of your choice. That doesn't include professional fashion makeup, though - I can recommend some makeup artists or you may supply your own.

events

Depending on the scale, duration and location of your event, a shoot will generally cost between £275 and £500. As always, you receive a disc containing all final high resolution images, suitable for printing.

my kit

I shoot on Nikon DSLR bodies - currently the D700 with grip - with an array of pro Nikon lenses. I process on Apple computers using Photoshop CS3, Nikon Capture NX 2 and Photo Mechanic software, with occasional dips into Photomatix for an HDR image.

For unit stills work I enclose my camera in a Jacobson Sound Blimp to muffle the shutter, allowing me to get dramatic shots of the action rather than just the rehearsals.

your gallery

Depending on the shoot it can take a few days for the final images to be ready. If you're keen for a preview I can upload a private gallery to a unique address on my website, password locked if required. If image security is an issue you can of course opt out of a gallery.

licensing

If you would like to license images for use in your project please get in touch to discuss details. My image fees are competitively priced in comparison to market leaders Getty and Corbis - I also take into account the scale and budget of your project when calculating a fee.
