hello!

I'm Owen, I live in SW London and I'm a freelance photographer. I'm also a television cameraman - I spend a lot of time around cameras. The attraction for me, particularly with the still nature of photography, is capturing just the right moments in a pleasing, engaging composition that complements the subject - now there's a soundbite!

I've been operating TV cameras since 2003, and shamefully only picked up my first SLR of any variety in 2005 - went with the Nikon D70 over the Canon 350D because I liked the way it felt in my hand. I'm self-taught in Photoshop (with a little help from Kelby, Evening and Nightingale) and have put my appreciation for the moving image to work by specialising in production and publicity stills for the TV and movie industry. I also get asked to shoot portraits from time to time, which have resulted in some of my favourite shots.
