about me

I'm a freelance photographer based in Putney, SW London. I specialise in commercial and private commissions, and unit stills photography for the TV and film industry.

With 7 years experience in TV camera operation there's rarely been a day I've not been behind a camera of some sort, which has given me an excellent eye for a composition and capturing the moment, as well as being able to describe a narrative with an image, drawing the viewer into the frame.

The same experience has also grounded me in professional set etiquette, allowing me to fit in alongside film and TV crews and use available light to capture frames that complement the finished film and provide a marketing framework.

In addition to my portfolio, further images from my shoots are available on the Clients page, or to view my film credits visit my IMDB page.

my glass eye

my glass eye is my personal photography site, where I try (and often don't quite manage) to post a new image a day as well as a brief tale of how the image came about and some notes on the processing for those that like that sort of technical insight.

The site is also home to my iPhone photo gallery and my news blog. The iPhone gallery is a new addition as where I previously could only snap away if I had my DSLR with me, now I have a fun, immediate and distinctive camera in my pocket wherever I go.

everywhere else...

I've had a photostream over at Flickr for a few years, but these days there's rarely anything there that wasn't posted on my blog first. I also post personal updates and cool stuff from the web on Twitter, and you can subscribe to my tweets here.

Finally, I occasionally post in the Photofriday competitions and my blog is listed at a variety of sites including photoblogs.org and vfxy. If there's anything else you'd like to ask me about, feel free to drop me an email anytime.
